The Center for Labor Education & Research (CLEAR) at the University of Kentucky has a long and proud history of conducting labor education programs and applied research on issues of interest to Kentucky's working people. In 1974 CLEAR was founded and charged with developing “a program of continuing education and research to better equip Kentucky’s labor leaders and members with the knowledge necessary to assist them in becoming more effective as representatives of their labor organizations and as participants in community affairs.” Today we continue that tradition through a wide variety of programs and activities that address the changing needs of the labor movement. We encourage you to browse through the pages of our website where you will learn more about our many programs, projects and people. What Does Right-to-Work Legislation Mean?
